Become a Fisherwoman

That's me fishing out in the Alaska sea!  First catch - my giant gold fish!!!
I want to and need to become a fisherwoman.  I'm getting older and certain things are starting to sound fun and enjoyable to me.  Fishing sounds absolutely delightful.  I have fished before, my Daddio took me fishing a lot when I was younger.  I lived in Alaska once upon a time, and got to do some major fishing there.  However, I'm here in small town USA and am surrounded by lot's and lot's of lakes.  These lakes are full of fish, and it's bout time I get my butt out there and catch some fish.  I love to eat fish, and I would love to live on a major coast somewhere so I can have fresh fish at my cat's meow.  I don't own a cat - nor will I ever, but cat's love fish and "meow" for fish when they are hungry.  In a sense I want to be a cat so I can have fish whenever I "meow."  What a waste of words that last thought was...  Back to my wanting of fish, and catching fish...So, I want to really learn how to fish!  Fishing is going to be my next goal in life.  I need to start getting me some supplies and tools.

1.  Buy a fishing pole - a half way decent one, but not to expensive so that if I don't like this new hobby of fishing I'm not out to much money.
2.  Find out about the local lakes and what the fish are.
3.  See if there is something other than slimy worms that I can use for bait.
4.  Go FISHING!
5.  Get a picture of me holding my first catch.
6.  Make a point to get out and fish once a month.
Here I go!  Happy Fishing to me, to me, to me!!!

Learn to Play the Dulcimer

Since serving my mission in the beautiful state of Kentucky I fell in love with not only the beautiful state and people, but I fell madly in love with bluegrass music.  Along with that music I fell in love with a particular instrument, known as the dulcimer.  A dulcimer is an Appalachian string instrument.  It is just darling, and the sound it makes is so beautiful.  I decided that in order to learn to play this instrument I would need to learn how to play some sort of string instrument.  This past semester I have been taking a beginning guitar class.  I feel I have learned a lot in this class.  I just need to stay on top of practicing/playing the guitar even though the class is over.  (A side note:  for my final in the class we had to play a song we learned during the semester, I chose "Smelly Cat" from the TV show Friends.  This song is really easy, three chords, but as a beginner it was the perfect song to learn.)  What does playing the guitar have to do with wanting to play the dulcimer?  Well, I figured if I learned to play the guitar then I could learn to play another string instrument, like the dulcimer.  I need to keep up my practicing and playing of the guitar before I finally graduate on to the dulcimer.  AND, I need to wait until I have money to buy a dulcimer.  That's my goal, learn how to play the guitar well enough so that I can teach myself how to play the beautiful sounding dulcimer.

Current Goal: Pass Chemistry (Once and FOR ALL!)

Okay, okay, okay, this once was a current goal of mine, well it's another current goal again - a little different.  So, I finally passed the first chemistry class - Chem 1110 which is known as elementary chemistry.  Yeah for me!  It's done, and I got my passing grade, but wait just a minute...I have one more.  Chem 1120 which is the bio/organic chemistry.  UGH!  Huge UGH!  This is the nitty gritty of it all.  Why me, why me?  I am so close to being done with my degree, yet so far away.  I just have been informed that I had to withdrawal from this class.  And so the story goes...

I just signed up to take the class in the summer time (so much for a good time this summer)!  I have a tutor all lined up, and I feel really good that I can and will do this!  So, here I go again.  I'm going to do it, and I will pass my final chemistry.  I will do this!  I am going to do this!  I have to do this!  By golly, let me get this done and out of my way FOREVER!!!

Skydive Before I Turn 30

(Thanks to google images for this photo.)

I have always wanted to skydive.  It's always been one of my 100 goals.  Yes, to think about it makes me a little nervous, but I feel like it will be okay, and most importantly I know it will be an awesome experience.  My birthday this year is on a Sunday, so I was thinking that Saturday, the day before my big 30th birthday, I will take the plunge!  This plunge, jump, dive, fall, plummet, and charge will be a new beginning.  I love the word "charge" because it signifies a great introduction for my 30's.  Who said the 30's were bad, I have always heard the 30's described as "30, Flirty, and Thriving."  That sounds good to me, so here I come ready to say Adieu to 30 great years, and I'm ready for 30 or more great years - or more!  So, Skydiving - bring it on!!!

Visit London Someday

I WILL visit London, England!

I Am Liberty Williams

Hello, I am Liberty Williams. Once upon a time, long ago, when I was just beginning my adolescent years a man whom I can't remember his name, came and spoke to me in a class I was attending. The class was about setting goals. He shared how he had set up a list of 100 goals that he would like to accomplish in his lifetime. His class that he taught really made quite the impression on me. I went home that evening and sat down with a book (similar to a journal) and began to number from 1 to 100. I did not complete my list of goals that night, but I had wrote down many. As I have grown older I have continued to add to my list. Being 29 years old I now have 96 goals written down. I have accomplished many, but still have many more to go. This blog is here to help me accomplish my goals - to see them, to work towards them, and to cross them off my list when I have accomplished them. I am Liberty Williams and I am going to accomplish my 100 goals!
